Books, a micropig, karaoke

I reviewed Bandi’s THE ACCUSATION, a collection of the first short stories known to have been smuggled out of North Korea, for THE GUARDIAN.

I wrote about 34 much-anticipated 2017 books by women of color for ELECTRIC LITERATURE.

I was interviewed in Litseen. Included: a shout-out to a dancing micropig.

And here’s an interview in the LOS ANGELES REVIEW OF BOOKS with Kelly Luce, who loves private-room karaoke.

Speaking of karaoke: our karaokeing, writerly, all-women book club was profiled in the SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE.

Also: I’m going to have a story in PLAYBOY! S&M is involved. I’ve never been more grateful my parents’ comprehension of English isn’t quite 100%.
