Where to start

A lot's happened this month! Where to start, okay, hrm, I got to talk with the extraordinarily generous and brilliant Laura van den Berg in Electric Literature about The Incendiaries. It was the first interview about the book! Also, of course, her next novel, The Third Hotel, is out in August, and it's incredible and it straight-up haunted my dreams.

Riverhead made a ridiculously beautiful postcard out of early blurbs for The Incendiaries, and I can't really look at that image without tearing up.

Oh!, and the book's available to be pre-ordered. And galleys are available, and they're starting to make their way into the world.

The Incendiaries was named a most-anticipated 2018 book by the BBC, CBC, Paste Magazine, Rumpus, Chicago Review, Chloe Benjamin in Belletrist, Carmen Maria Machado in BelletristSquibblesreads, Library Journal, Julie Wernersbach for the Texas Book Festival, and London Korean.

I reviewed Amy Tan's new memoir in The Guardian, and I had the pleasure of talking with my dear friend Colin Winnette about his new book, The Job of the Wasp, in BOMB.

I am full of exclamation marks and joy.
